ARMORY HOCKEY – OFF-SEASON HOCKEY TRAINING

The Armory’s spring program is a fun, high-intensity, deliberate play based program that fosters recovery and a manageable time commitment following the grind of the hockey season.

Each Armory spring session consists of small area games and full-ice 4v4 hockey for continued development of decision-making skills and Hockey IQ, the key separators of players at the highest levels of our sport. The intentionally light structure promotes creativity and learning through play, providing a safe environment that encourages creativity and supports development through trial and error.

Armory spring sessions will take place at Eble Ice Arena on Wednesday evenings beginning April 2nd and running through June 4th for a total of 10 on-ice sessions.

7:15-8:15 PM – Mites (8U) // Squirts (10U) // PeeWee (12U) Minor (2014 – 2018 birth years)

8:30-9:30 PM – PeeWee (12U) Major / Bantams (14U) (2009 – 2013 birth years)

The one session per week schedule supports participation in spring sports/activities outside of hockey and much-needed family balance. This approach promotes well-rounded athleticism, improved physical literacy, prevention of long-term overuse injuries, and – most importantly -- better mental health/well-being, all of which ultimately contribute to better hockey development and performance in the long run.

Players in each session will be grouped by age and playing ability to ensure a developmentally appropriate and confidence-building experience.
