MATT SHAPIRO


Hockey Director, Coaching

  • Matt has served as EYHA's Hockey Director since the 2022 season. Matt has various responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
  • Oversees the roles of the Skill Development Director, the Goaltender Director,  and, the Off-Ice Coach Directors. 
  • Oversees team head coaching selections, and EYHA Coach Development through clinics,  meetings, and online resources.  Will assist EYHA coaches with season, practice, and game planning as needed. 
  • Oversees the recruitment and retention of non-parent coaches. In collaboration with the Skills Development Director, oversees the planning and execution of EYHA evaluations. 
  • Oversees the planning and execution of EYHA's LTP,  6U, and 8U programs. 
  • Matt's youth hockey journey started at SHAW (3 season). He then played 3 seasons with Winter Club followed by 4 seasons with the Pettit National Selects (now Milwaukee Jr. Admirals).  He then played one season with the Madison Capitols 16U. Over those years Matt played for various WAHA Development teams. He represented the region at state development camps and advanced to USA Hockey Central District final evaluations. Matt played one season for the Brookfield Stars (WIAA) followed by two seasons for Hebron Academy (NEPASC). An unfortunate leg injury ended Matt's competitive playing journey early, but he transitioned to coaching two years later. 
  • Since, Matt has accumulated an extensive coaching background here in the local community. Matt's coaching journey started with as  Head Coach of the Brookfield Stars JV team . After one season, he then served the next 3 seasons as Head Varsity Coach.  After a year off, Matt served as Co-Head Varsity Coach for 4 additional seasons. Matt then served as an Assistant coach for 2 seasons with current Head Coach, Greg Copeland. Over those years, Matt coached various Regional Senior Class Tournament Teams (WIAA). No longer coaching high school, Matt has served in various roles for EYHA including 12UA Assistant coach, 14UA Head Co-Coach, 10UB Head Coach, 14UA Assistant Coach, and 6U On-Ice Lead. 
  • Matt has Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification and is a Coach Developer for USA Hockey.
  • Matt, his wife Chelsea, and their children (Johnny & Harry) reside in Menomonee Falls. Matt is employed by Baird. 


Robby Fosdick


Hockey Director, Player Development

  • One of the most successful players to come out of the Eagles program, Robby will be responsible for all player development at EYHA and will provide on-site and on-ice supervision of players, He will be responsible for the evaluation process, concepting practice plans, and leading skill sessions with all levels. He will organize and oversee pre-season and in-season camps and help develop appropriate off-ice training programs. Robby will also be the Head Coach of EYHA 12U PW A team.
  • A Brookfield native, Robby played four seasons of varsity hockey for the Stars and was named team Captain for his senior campaign where, as a defenseman, he averaged nearly two points per game with 19 goals and 22 assists in 24 contests and helped the club to the Sectional Finals. Robby received All-Conference, All-State, Team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards while playing for the Stars, Robby played Tier I hockey for Team Wisconsin before and after the WIAA seasons. From there he went to play for the Madison Capitols of the USHL for three seasons and then on to Division I at the University of Northern Michigan.
  • Robby is the owner of Brookfield Landscape and Lawn and the manager at Storms Driving Range. He is also the co-owner of Wanaki Golf Course.


Jennifer DeGeorge


Director - Goaltender Development

  • In her new position, Jenn will oversee goalie development for EYHA, responsible for the goalie curriculum, goalie weekly skills, and goalie clinics for U8-U14. She will also be leading EYHA Goalie Off-Ice program, including player development and game/shot analysis. 
  • Jenn played youth hockey for the Wisconsin Wild AAA organization, and HS Hockey for Waukesha Girls. She continued her career playing at the collegiate level at Division III Concordia University WI.
  • As a Coach, Jenn has coached at various HS and youth levels for organizations and most recently at University School of Milwaukee for over 6 years. She is a Coach/Evaluator for Region 5 Kohlman Cup and WEHL (before/after program) for WAHA. 
  • In her professional career, she works for Vizance as a Client Service Advisor.
